So what 20th Century Fox characters do you think would make a good addition to Kingdom Hearts?
So what scenes that were missing in KH3 do you hope will be in the DLC?
So if Kairi and Riku were toys in Toy Story, what kind of toy would they be?
In real life, I actually work for the mouse - between my job and this group, it gets me thinking about these characters a lot.  I think about how storytelling has changed from the centuries ago these stories were originally told, to how they were put into various movie forms, to how we continue to talk about these characters today.  In an age of seemingly endless remakes and endless fanfiction, it makes me wonder, what is it about these fairy tales that makes them endure so long - what are the key elements of these stories, and what can we take away from them?

Years ago, at work, a guest asked me to find a toy for Mulan's sword for their child.  I checked our computer database that looks all over disney world and found nothing.  I was a lil perturbed by this, always disappointed when I have to disappoint a guest.  And hey, it *is* a cool sword, I kinda wanted one.  When I got home, I looked online, still couldn't find it.  The fact that the animators worked so hard on designing this sword and it's barely used in the movie, there's no toy of it, when it is used in the movie it's not for its intended use.  (Funnily I remember back to the days of Heman and Shera, both had iconic swords that were rarely used for their intended use, He man would punch, She-ra would kick.)  This coupled with the fact that in toy form and in character, you rarely if ever see Mulan in her soldier form, more often than not, you see the "princess" appearance she is in at the start of the movie - the form society forced on her and she spends an entire movie trying to get away from.  Disney seems to celebrate princesses who don't want to be princesses.

Since that day, you may have noticed an uptick in art that comes into this group.  I believe that warriors can be princesses and princesses can be warriors, and there's nothing wrong with a woman who wants to be either or both, as long as its her choice.  I really love fanart that seeks to expand on the original source while still remaining true to it.

I've developed a few theories, a few topics for discussion, a few questions I'm curious about and just haven't got around to typing up and sharing with you all.

Curious what you guys think: Also curious about this group's "guests" - are you hear for disney, for kingdom hearts?  Both?

Art prompt: In one of my other groups about Mickey of KH - I started putting in art from Mickey's iconic storylines: The three musketeers, the sorcerer's apprentice, etc.  Then tried to think: What are Minnie's iconic stories?  For the longest time, Disney refused to use Mickey for anything that *might* fail, and as a result, Mickey just disappeared from lack of use.  Recently he seems to be on his way back.  But as a result, his costars stories have also suffered.  What are Minnie's iconic stories?  Finding solo stories for Mickey's friends is tough!

Minnie runs a store, her "Bow-tique", co-owns the "House of Mouse" club (always loved that show's concept).  Occasionally, she starred in the "Maestro Minnie" shorts, in which she conducts an orchestra of living instruments that she usually has to tame. Minnie also has an alter-ego known as Detective Minnie famous for solving mysteries in the Mickey Mouse clubhouse. Once ran the "Minnie Mouse Center for the Totally Unhip".  In the "Wizards of Mickey" comic strip, she was a sorceress.
